Dance Therapy

A set of exercises that guide you to connect deeper with yourself and inhabit parts of the body.



In this specific offer, the approach is more physical, we will be not searching for the psychological explanation of a certain situation but rather to apply somatic principles and dance techniques that will allow you to release, and feel present with your body.

The practice is individual and guided, suitable for any kind of people and highly recommended for those who have gone through trauma and have already received a first line response (either in the form of short-term counseling or medical assistance). It is important that you can feel welcomed in your own vessel on this reality and dimension - the physical body. This practice focuses on inhabiting the body, welcoming yourself back home.

The practice is opened by a form of meditation, followed by warm up allowing conditions to focus on the container we will be working on.

After the arrival, you will be guided in an inner journey through the form of physical practice (a combination of exercises that come from my background in ballet, modern, street dance, theater and contact improvisation). This is not a choreography class, so it might seem at first not as a dance class at all. Dance therapy is mostly focused to give you essential tools for self-expression and self-regulation in your daily-life. So, we will be painting our dance canvas as if it was completely blank before and you can have your own ritual to return back into the body available to you throughout the day. This practice can be done individually or in groups.

If in groups, the service is provided in the context of retreats or organized private sessions.
