Psychic Protection: Dispelling Myths

Today, I want to discuss the intimidation that many people experience at some stage in their lives, a topic I frequently encounter while immersing myself in spiritual communities.

I have often come across the notion that when you begin to unlock your psychic gifts, or embark on what can be called a path of lightwork, you should take care because it is considered to be very dangerous. This idea gets often reinforced by the belief that "the more light you open, the more darkness you attract."

Many people have been told to avoid meditation and/or other forms of independent spiritual connection, in case a demon tricks them. These beings, often described as lower astral entities or false light beings, are believed to have the ability to interact with individuals and/or manipulate information from them. When framed in such a manner, it's undoubtedly shocking and intimidating.

As a result of such belief, we are placed in a perspective that leads us to act as if our own connection to spirit is false, fragmented, or impossible. With this, we choose to live in fear of our spirit, of our own voice, and when we fear our own light, the whole world goes dark. We limit ourselves to a small fraction of our potential by fearing our own spirit.

In my early days, I remember meeting great teachers and delving into religious and spiritual doctrines that, despite offering a solid foundation for my spiritual journey, appeared to show a deep fear in relation to possessions or other dark entities. I found myself internalizing that same fear, becoming apprehensive about my psychic abilities and often pulling back from them.

Psychic visions and any form of imagery, sensory experiences through, for example, meditations, are mirrors or tools. They are not bigger or more powerful than we already are. They are messages for you. The mystical creatures we sometimes refer to as demons are, in fact, our own demons personified—a reflection of our inner world manifested in specific forms, personas, that resonate with our perceptions of fear and darkness.

No external threat can really corrupt the integrity and purity of our own spirit.

Anything that appears to be of lower frequency is merely a mirror and a tool. At times, those mirrors are shocking and seem to be out of reality, in those cases, we can always choose to come back to our own inner truth, to our heart, to our spirit, at any time.

Once we demystify the idea of 'bad guys, bad vibes' and let go of the fear of having no control over the external, we understand that the only demons that truly matter and shape us are the internalized ones. Those are the ones we don’t fear! We face them as they are, as opportunities to grow. We face our shadows, we face our darkness understanding that we are light too; no separation really exists. It is only through this process of understanding that we rise.

You are the driving force of your spirit. Take back your abilities, and your gifts; you are greater than you realize. You are protected by your own light and spirit, which guides you on this journey of human learning.

So, when darkness comes, don’t be afraid; it will not sink you down, it will not corrupt you, or possess you. You are your greatest psychic protection, your spirit is your shaman and that cannot be taken away, corrupted, or stolen. Only you possess the key to it.

Remember, while we speak of psychic protection, it's essential to acknowledge that our spirit, consciousness, soul is inherently unbreakable. This part of your existence transcends any external influence or threat. That energy is itself serving as the ultimate guardian of our being. That is at its essence your protective psychic shield.

May you be capable of constantly seeing yourself rising, and may you not forget that your protection and psychic shield reside within you.

If you ever forget, I hope this text can serve as a reminder to you.

With love,

Sofia
